Birla College of Arts, Science & Commerce is an affiliated of the University of Mumbai. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council awarded with 'A' Grade is a multi-faculty institution of higher education with an enrolment of more than 11,900 students. The campus is spread over 20 acres (81,000 m2) in the prime locality of Kalyan in Mumbai.The Institution is now known as "B.K. Birla College of Arts, Science & Commerce.

ARTS Faculty Of B.K.Birla College (Junior Section) Was established in 1972,There are At Present 8 Faculty Members Teaching In Arts Faculty In The Year 2021-22, 343 Students Enrolled Their admission For Class 11th (FYJC) & 12th (SYJC). The HSC Result Of Arts Faculty For The academic Year 2021-22 Was 92.50%.

Activities

Social Science Club

The Faculty Of Arts Conduct Various Activities In Social Science Club Such as Street Play, Drama, Elocution Competition, Essay writing Competition, Debates And Many More for the cultivation Of good virtues and morals among the students. The main objective of SSC is to create social responsibilities within the students and make them socially matured.

 

Marathi Wangmay Mandal

This is one of the important activity organised by The faculty of Arts in which Department of Marathi specially takes an initiative to arrange different Cultural and intellectual activities for all round development of the students. The vital role of this Mandal is to inculcate the awareness amongst students about Heritage of Maharashtrian Culture.

Remedial Lecture Series

This is the Platform under the Faculty of Arts which specially works for intellectual backward students where subject wise Lectures are arranged by the faculty members However the pivotal objective of this Lecture series is to create an interest amongst academically weaker students and encourage them for more and more practising so that they can perform good in HSC Board Exam.

English Literary Association

Through the department of English various activities such as Dancing, Debates, One act play, Quick speech and many more events are planned time to time for Students. Basically this event is universal for all Faculties and the core objective of ELA is to develop positiveness and self confidence amongst students.

Hindi Sahitya Mandal

This is the backbone of the Faculty of arts in which subject teachers Develop interest amongst students for Hindi Literature by conducting crucial activities like Elocution Competition, Debates, Essay Competition, Quick speech etc. The main role of HSM is to build self confidence among the students and give platform to shape their hidden talent at macro level.

Objectives
  • To identify potential and qualities of the students and provide platform them for their all-round development.
  • To discover, from scientific, theological, humanistic, and creative perspectives, insights from past and present into what it means to be human.
  • To develop methods of thought and inquiry that will lay the foundation of students’ future knowledge and wisdom.
  • To learn to read and to listen critically, to write persuasively, and to communicate with a confidence born of knowledge.
  • To train in the latest methods of research and digital literacy appropriate to each area of study.
  • To build self confidence amongst the students in each area of study.
  • To identify with the quality of students developing “independent thinkers, ethical leaders and citizens for the Nation.”
  • To create the base for students future academic, professional, or vocational career, enabling them to “learn for life.”
