About Mpower

About Mpower

We, at Mpower, an initiative of Aditya Birla Education Trust, along with B. K. Birla College, Kalyan is delighted to inform you about the availability of Mental Health Services inside the premises of B.K. Birla College, Kalyan.

The topic of mental health is filled with stigma and the only way to end it is to consistently raise awareness about the importance of mental health. This awareness will not only encourage acceptance of mental health but will also help the lives of so many people who suffer this battle silently.

In order to meet this goal, Mpower has been reaching out to various sects of our society with the aim of believing that just like most physical illnesses, mental illnesses can be cured, too. To make this possible, we have a very ambitious team working round the clock who has the able guidance of our Founder and Chairperson, Dr. Neerja Birla.

The Mpower Cell at B.K. Birla College was inaugurated by Dr. Neerja Birla on 17th February 2021. Since then, the Cell has been providing counselling and psychiatric services that are wellappreciated by all our stakeholders. So far, the Cell has conducted 7944 sessions including counselling services and psychiatric interventions. Considering the positive response from all our stakeholders, we are now expanding our services to other schools and colleges to make sure we reach out to more individuals.

We strongly believe that the future of our country and the whole world lies in the hands of our children. It is our responsibility that we make them capable not just physically but also emotionally so that they make the confident leaders of tomorrow.

Bearing this in mind, we are introducing the following services across all age groups and under one roof that are going to be open to all from (date and venue).

Our envisioned services are designed to focus on the comprehensive development of every child, student, or patient who seeks our assistance. We are committed to embarking on a journey that aims to create a world free from the stigma surrounding mental health concerns. With your invaluable support, we are confident that we will soon realize our mission, making this journey smoother and the lives it touches happier.
