Profile

Department of Information Technology was incepted in year 2002 with a vision to contribute to the IT world through quality education, research and innovation.

From the modest beginning with a single B.Sc.I.T. program having 60 students, the department has scaled new heights and today offers 5 programs,

The infrastructural development in the department has also kept pace with the phenomenal growth in Information and Communication Technology field. The state-of-art laboratories have been established to cater to the needs of all the academic programs. The department has also developed E-Yantra Lab in association with IIT-Bombay and Animation Laboratory. The department has smart classrooms with ICT enabled teaching-learning.

The department is always in the pursuit of excellence. Teaching latest trends and technologies in the field of IT, the department is one amongst the fastest growing department in the college campus.

In the year 2017 the department was awarded with Government of India, DBT Star College scheme. Under this scheme the department organised various events, seminars, workshops, webinars, hands-on-trainings to provide a wide range of opportunities to the UG students and faculties to grow technically.

The department also conducts Value added Certificate courses in Python Programming, Cyber Security & Cyber Forensics, Computer Hardware & Maintenance, Tally 9.0 with GST for the students of various disciplines.

To enhance the skillset of the students of our department and to enhance their knowledge with Industry standards and to add value on their resume, we have signed MoU with Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay and Swayam, Government of India so that the students can avail the facilities to upgrade themselves with their general curriculum.
